Tala: an AI receptionist for service businesses
The problem
A plumber under a sink can't pick up the phone, and the caller books whoever answers next. Small service businesses lose jobs to missed calls every day, and a human receptionist is out of reach for most of them.
What we built
- A voice agent that picks up in under two seconds, 24/7, and handles after-hours calls differently from daytime ones
- Self-serve onboarding: enter a business name and website, and Tala reads the site to pre-fill its own knowledge base
- Phone provisioning: each customer picks an area code and gets a dedicated number assigned automatically
- Live calendar booking against the owner's Google Calendar, so appointments land while the caller is still on the line
- Smart transfer that whispers a short summary to the owner before connecting the caller

CheckBids: know the repair bill before you own the car
The problem
People buying damaged cars off Marketplace, Craigslist, Copart, or IAA are guessing at the repair bill, and the costs they forget — tax, title, broker fees — are what turn a good deal into a bad one.
What we built
- Flexible intake: paste listing text, drop in phone photos, share straight from a listing app, or run a lot page from inside the buyer's own session
- Photo and text reading: body damage is read out of the photos, mechanical trouble out of what the seller wrote, and the system flags what neither can rule out
- An itemized repair plan listing each panel, the operation it needs (replace, refinish, blend), and the shop hours to do it
- A real bid ceiling: parts and labor priced, then tax, title, and fees added, ending in one number with a verdict
- Honest confidence on every estimate instead of a headline accuracy claim
- User override: type in your own price for any line and the whole answer re-solves for free
getBettor: NFL matchup research with a lean on every game
The problem
Sports fans drown in stats and still can't tell which numbers matter for this week's games. They want a straight answer, and a record they can check.
What we built
- A weekly matchup board: every game with spread, total, kickoff time, and the model's lean, filterable by day
- Top-5 player bets per game with a “bet if the line is at or below X” threshold and a strength rating on each
- Live mode: during a game, suggestions based on where each player is headed against the live line, plus halftime notes
- Searchable stats for any player or team, and a parlay checker
- A graded public record, updated after every game, wins and losses both shown
- Age and responsible-gambling notices built into the product
PantryOS: the kitchen operating system
Groceries in, cost-per-meal out. PantryOS closes the loop from receipt to recipe to shopping list: cook a suggested recipe, and the ingredients deduct, nutrition logs, and the shopping list updates, so households can see what each meal costs and how much food goes to waste.
